ABOUT THE COVER:

Aloha! The waving APO logo on the cover of the souvenir program represents the dynamism of the fraternity -- always on the go and never static. Through the years, APO alumni in Hawaii were actively involved in community service with its periodic blood donation through the Hawaii Blood Bank, Adopt-A-Highway project, Food Bank volunteerism, facelift of institutional symbols like repainting of the fence around the Filipino Community (FilCom) Center, taking part in communitywide events like the Filipino Fiesta, graciously hosting brothers and sisters visiting the island, supporting brothers and sisters in need, etc. The tiki torch -- the symbol of enduring enlightenment, reason, and wisdom -- is Hawaii's counterpart of the European torch, while the Morning Glory (Ipomoea indica), a vine with three-lobed leaves, is the local version of the European trefoil.
