Aloha ʻāina!
This is a Hawaiʻi concept regarding the stewardship of land and natural resources, with values deeply rooted in the local culture and tradition.

In the Hawaiian tongue, ‘āina refers to that which feeds -- that being the land and its produce, as well as the sea and the all the things from it we can collect and harvest to sustain our selves with.

Alpha Phi Omega-Hawaii honors this environmental stewardship and, for over a decade, has committed to adopting a two-mile stretch of Oʻahu highways by being a part of the Adopt-A-Highway Program of the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation. APO-Hawaiʻi has adopted the H2-Mililani-bound Eisenhower Interstate Freeway, then the Fort Weaver Road between the Queenʻs Medical Center-West and Karayan St in Ewa Beach.
